Moving to another city Left me here now I’m alone How can I go on without you? I miss you so Miss your visits Sunday morning Miss you dancing Friday night Miss your smile when I feel lonely I miss you so Try not to think of you It makes my heart feel blue And it hurts me so That you had to go Cause I miss you so

What is art about I can’t spot the meaning Staring at your pictures Listening to your music What is art about I can’t spot the meaning It is just a great waste of time In their room alone People spend their whole life Searchin’ for the best fitting rhyme Art will never do it better Better than la la la la la La la la la la Just say no to art Just say no to art What is art about I can’t spot the meaning What is art about I can’t spot the meaning Just a stupid outgrowth Of livin’ in affluence What is art about I can’t spot the meaning It is just a great waste of time In their room alone People spend their whole life Searchin’ for the best fitting rhyme Art will never do it better Better than la la la la la La la la la la Just say no to art Just say Just say Just say Just say Baby, b-b-b-baby baby Baby, b-b-b-baby you’re addicted Baby, b-b-b-baby baby Baby, b-b-b-baby you’re addicted What is art about I can’t spot the meaning It is just a great waste of time (great waste of time) In their room alone People spend their whole life Searchin’ for the best fitting rhyme (great waste of time) Art will never do it better Better than la la la la la La la la la la Just say no to art Just say no to art Art will never do it better Better than la la la la la La la la la la Just say no to art Just say no to art What is art about I can’t spot the meaning

The Guest 03:53
What is that sound? Never heard it around. Wait, are they real, All the cracks that I feel? What’s behind this door? Never seen it before. And who’s in this place? Who will show me his face? Heaven, you are still inside me, baby. Heaven, I must try to get you out. When I’m leaving home I still find that I’m not alone. But I swear that I’ll get rid of you, my baby. I must try... I must try to forget Every word that you said. Try to delete Every step of your feet. Throw it away Every week, every day. I must replace The sweet look of your face. Heaven, you are still inside me, baby. Heaven, I must try to get you out. When I’m leaving home I still find that I’m not alone. But I swear that I’ll get rid of you, my baby. Heaven, you are still inside me, baby. Heaven, I must try to get you out. When I’m leaving home I still find that I’m not alone. But I swear that I’ll get rid of you, my baby.

Wonderland 03:16
Of all the lonely people You tend to ostracize It’s me the one you found out And in your dreams you fantasize Drowns me in words and images Dragging me upside down Drowns me in words and images I tried to take my heart out Too tired to rationalize It’s me the one you took down And how your dreams anesthetize And then she came And left without my name Where did you go? Oh, oh, oh you don’t know And here we stand Trapped in your Wonderland Where did you go? Oh, oh, oh you don’t know

True Love 03:30
Girl, you’re so beautiful I don’t know where to put my sight I called you in the evening With the vultures circling my mind It’s true love, true love, Love all the way to the stars And then you were knocking at my door Said that you had seen my face before Said that you are the girl that I adore A-a And you told me: this is war This Girl is so beautiful I haven’t slept a lonely night I’m running whilst I'm dreaming A poem for you I will write It’s true love, true love, Love all the way to your heart And then you were knocking at my door Said that you had seen my face before Said that you are the girl that I adore A-a And you told me: this is war This true love It's burning It breaks my heart in two for what I've been yearning all the things left said untrue I break down on the snake ground praying for salvation I never thaught that it couldn’t hurt All the love All the aching I must admit that I had been blind I ran away absolutely okay Believing that this love was true All the love All the aching I must admit that I had been blind I ran away absolutely okay Believing that this love was Just a lie

Help Me 03:37
Feeling the weight I am Thinkin all day I am Drinkin your water I’m Sinkin, I’m sinkin Feeling the weight I am Thinkin all day I am Drinkin your water I’m Sinkin, I’m sinkin And when you're dragging me down Don't put me under the ground Why don't we talk it out? And stop dragging me down I need someone to help me Help me, you’re the stone, Help me, I’m goin down Release me, before I drown You got your rope rope tied at me Girl, I need some help to set me free Release me, before I drown Going down down down

about

Dodo Origami’s debut EP “Say No To Art” contains 6 indie songs about love and art. It was recorded in Spring 2019 at the Abbey Road Studios in London. The overall sound is a synth and guitar driven indie rock vibe inspired by Weezer and Metronomy, but it’s also an artistic experiment that crosses genre boundaries. The songs range from “True Love”, an intense rock song with a latin feel, to the edgy synth rock of the title track “Say No To Art” to the sophisticated ballad ”Help Me”. Thematically, the songs are mostly love songs, be it change and loss as in “I miss you so”, delusory love as in “Wonderland” or obsessive love as in “True love”.
